back on track

This summer has gone crashing by in the insane pace life in general tends to take nowadays. I have been working a lot, but actually mostly at a normal summer job these past two months, squeezing in a handful of custom paint jobs in between. But the airbrush orders have piled up and next week I will be back at my dear "Dösebacka lackering" with some parts from a trailer truck, a car with "call of Cthulhu" details and guitar and bass for the band "Dead by April" among other things. Also I have a couple new oil paintings to do for Bent Branderup, and a handful of animal and people portraits to paint. I am also playing with some new ideas that might get more of my art out there for people who can´t afford ordering the actual original peices. More about that later.

Proudly presenting the "Terminator"

This is the vehicle I will be showing in my booth at Elmia this year. This one is massive with a great deal of airbrush work done on it.
I did most of the work last spring, but very few people have seen this HUMMER after its paint job, and we have been keeping a pretty low profile with the intent of showing it at Elmia 2011.
So here it comes! One of a kind! :-)

Together with the owner, Janne Andersson and his freinds, and my guy Robert, we are putting a bit of energy into making a really cool booth this year in hall A with a theme to suit the HUMMER. I will be airbrushing live some kind of real nasty, gruesome picture cause that´s what i feel like doing this year.

I am looking foreward to meeting everybody, so come by and say hi!

Guitar for Bandit Rock awards...

This was a guitar to be won in a competition held at the Bandit rock awards 2011 that was this saturday..
So my commission was to paint the logo of the company sponsoring the event and a little true fire around it. I think it turned out quite well :-)

Enjoying a bit of a holiday at the moment... Something almost unheard of for someone with their own company.... I am going to try and get better at keeping my homepage and blog up to date. soon.

I used to think that loving someone makes you stronger.... now I am not so sure.
Seems to just eat me up from the inside and not really give anything back.... Maybe it is being loved that makes you strong, not the feeling of love in itself

Elmia day 1

I love this show....

day one has been going well... I got everything set up alright and the day has worked even though i hav´nt slept at all last night... I was dizzy at breakfast, and unforgivably clumsy all day...

Anyway, the uncovering of the secret car went well and I can disclose now the the car in question is actually the new comeback project of Lukas Koos, the Zpirit

My model Joakim Wikström was a hit.. he has been strutting around bare chested all day making the girls drool. Once there was a pair that went past where the guy suddenly yelled at his girlfriend "..Stop looking!!!" Wonderfull! I couldnt have found a better person for this.
Mostly i have been getting good responses. And I have started painting him and it is turning out quite well....
getting sore feet from the high heels, but oh well.

Also I am presented in the show catalog which is really great. The Mustang I am showing will soon get a faded paintjob from the constant picture taking... People seem to really like it!
Meeting loads of old and new freinds and clients.

Yup, bedtime though... the biggest day coming up.. this is just the beginning hehe

M.A.N release and new video

My good friends M.A.N have the release of their new album on Saturday (come and see if you can handle some seriously heavy metal) in Göteborg and I have had a finger in some details of the album cover... (Pictures coming up)
Also i have done the paintwork on Roberts bass guitars. You can see them on my homepage.

Elmia

coming upp at a terrific pace, Elmia Custom motor Show is closing in..... Wonderfully exiting, but so much to prepare and plan so I just want to curl up in a ball and hide...

But very possibly the best year ever, I am quite sure that after this show alot of new people are going to know who I am. Not only will I be airbrushing a good looking guy from real life onto a car bonnet in my own booth, I have also been involved in 2 secret projects that are going to get uncovered at the show and will get a lot of attention, AND I have painted a little thing that Chip Foose will be presented with at the show on behalf of the GBG VW club.

Wow, this cold is amazing!
Don´t know if we have had cold for so many days in row since I came to Sweden 20 years ago. At least not this cold. I like it. Though some things get difficult, like driving my old wreck with the windows all iced up and no heater, or when the water in my house froze, or when my fingers dissapear when i try to do things with my horses, but still. I like it.

Terje Aspemo, Kungen av frihands airbrush

Som alla vet så är Terje en av sveriges absoluta bästa airbrushmålare, och en av pionärerna inom frihandstekniken.... Någon jag ser upp till helt klart. Så jag var väldigt smickrade när han kom fram på Elmia i påskas och berömde mig för min uppvisning (när jag målade av en Pin-uppa live på mässan).

Nu var det så att han hade ett jobb i Göteborg för ett par veckor sedan, och kontaktade mig för o se om jag ville komma och kolla lite, o få lite tips och så, och det ville jag så klart. Så jag var där och fick betrakta mästaren i arbete i typ 8 timmar..... Det var väldigt kul faktiskt. Kul o se och kul o prata. En intressant person, och rolig. Visserligen så kör han lösningsmedelsfärger och ingen av oss hade mask eftersom vi pratade hela tiden, så saker blev bara roligare..... Jag var alldeles yr när jag åkte därifrån....

Here is another fun one I finished last week at Dösebacka lackering where i spend most of my days nowadays. So in one picture you can see Jonas who did almost all of the sanding and masking, and did a excellent job I must add. It brings all the work up to another level when it is a car like this, and he met the challenge with flying colors...

Anyway, the job was Ghost flames and pin-up girls in discreet colors.... So the flames are actually hard to catch on photo, thats how ghost they are... So better pics some day when the sun is shining
